I love being WOWed by a song. Grabbed by the song, singer or video and not by hype. Hype actually makes me suspect something is boring (since it would appeal to the masses) and I don't want to waste my time. Being bored is NOT in my definition of Excellence. But I know hype is necessary, like Manure on a garden. heh.
Haven't listened to mainstream radio in a decade. If these are hot bands, I wouldn't know. I just LOVE 'em.
